Guitarist Oz Osukaru was already a well-known name in the world of good sounds when the project Osukaru formed in 2009.
Osukaru is the brand child from the former Eye guitarist Oz Osukaru, who had the dream of creating a Swedish/American hard rock outfit having big melodies, catchy hooks and the classic stadium sound.
After teaming up with the awarded Los Angeles born drummer Ryan Coyle, the spine of Osukaru's major songwriting style was born.
In 2010, the EP GBG2LA was released, one of the pleasant surprises that year that showed us to the good old AOR sound.
The band went through two changes in its lineup - the arrival of veteran keyboardist and vocalist Kristofer Von Wachenfeldt and Carl "CJ" Johan, who replaced Johan Bernspång.
Never Too Late, another EP, again proves the high quality and taste of the band!
The EP opens with "Never Too Late", a radio-friendly AOR song that's build very well... This song proves that vocalist Carl "CJ" Johan deserves his place in the band.
The more aggressive song "City Lights" shows Oz delivering some amazing guitar work! This song is so guitar-driven and melodic at the same time.
The song "Whatever It Takes" is very keyboard-oriented, but with excellent guitar backup!
Then we have "Driven By Love", an amazing AOR song that reminds me bit of Journey. This song was also on the previous EP GBG2LA, but here with new arrangements and ofcourse new vocals!
The 2 last songs are other versions of song 2 & 1 (karaoke version).
Watch out for their first full album, Salvation, which should be released in august 2011.
This is for sure a band to watch out for in the near future!
