To be honest I'd never heard of the man before but with the release of this cd I'll never loose track of him again !

Greg X is an independent artist and guitar instructor based in London, UK. Greg picked guitar at the age of 16 and despite many obstacles has never stopped playing since that time.
He was influenced by Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Rainbow as well as modern guitar heroes such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Vinnie Moore.
He specialises in 70's/80’s rock and metal as well as neoclassical metal and modern blues.
In spring 2008 Greg’s instrumental track Twilight Etude has been featured on a CD compilation titled Under The Same Sky – released Internationally in 10,000 copies
Greg is currently working on his 80’s rock album featuring accomplished musicians from USA and Europe.
Greg X studied music at Goldsmiths College in London, UK.

Songs like "As the world spins round" , "Dream the dream" remind me very much of rainbow. Ken does an amazing job here !
"How to love" is my favorite track on the album , a semi ballad full of melodies and again outstanding vocals by Ken Tamplin !
"Wake me (before you go)" is again a melodic rock song with that classic 80's style !!
"Love and hate" is a rocking song with a very unique guitar riff...
"Waiting on you" is a bit different to the rest of the album but still a very good hardrock song
on "Victory" , an instrumental song , Greg shows his tallents on the 6 strings !! The man knows how to play that's for sure.
I for one hope to hear more from the man in the future !

“Dream” is a solid melodic rock album that shows plenty of promise.
It’s great to hear Ken Tamplin again !
Personally I would like the production a little bit better , especially the drums...

Recommend for all fans of Rainbow , Joe Lynn Turner , etc.....
