Guttercats - 2013 - Whiskey Avenue EP
- Whiskey Avenue ( Drunk version )
- Who´s She Killing?
- Mile High
- Whiskey Avenue ( Sober version )
Guttercats from Coventry delivers straight up Hard Rock with a feel of your local pub band. It all gives you a feel of bands like The Dogs D´Amour and Quireboys.
This EP is only four tracks long and only tree different songs. The title track “Whiskey Avenue” has been recorded in two different versions. The “sober” version being a radio friendly version. Not that the versions are really that different so I really can´t see the point in having two version. But I really don´t mind, since it´s an awesome song.
It starts with the “drunk” version and ends with the “sober” version, so it´s like you get a rerun of the best song of the EP and that is just great! It´s a real party song that makes you want to call your friends and just have a party. The sound is rough and dirty, all in a good way, all thru the EP.
The other two songs are rather good as well, and it gives you a taste for more releases in the future.
“Who´s she killing” has a great 80´s feel to it and it feels like you heard it before. “Mile High” is a bit heavier and harder then the other the others.
It´s all good and I recommend you to get your copy!
