Now the follow up to the bands self titled debut has arrived.
“Lessons In Decay” has turned the speed down one grade, but
without loosing in quality and attitude. Maybe that is the reason
it´s not the same direct musical knock out when you listen to it the
first time. But after a couple of listening you find yourself rather
impressed with the band after all. The sound is true the core of the
debut. And even if the songs are not as direct on this deal I
wonder if the quality ain´t higher on this album. Course it´s still
raw and in your face and they stick like glue.
I found myself wondering how the band sounds like live, course
this style of music usually sounds more vibrant and alive when
preformed on a stage. There is always something special when you
hear a band like this live. Maybe it´s the kinship with the
underground scene that it sprung from that shines through that is
hard to capture in the studio.
Anyhow, the band proves that they are very skilled musicians and
has taken one step forward since the debut. And as I mentioned
earlier so has their song writing skills.
Whit songs like “Seven Deadly Sins”, “To Live Is To Die” and
“ We Won´t Back Down” they have some really great anthems for
the live shows. In “Something Sweet” they show a humorous side
that is rather amusing.
So my advice to you is, if you liked the first album you really
should get a copy of this one and if you get the chance you should
check them out live.
