Jean Beauvior joined Plastmastic in the early 80´s. After two
albums he left the band to join Little Steven and the Disciples of
Soul also for two albums. In ´86 he released a solo album named
“Drums along the Mohawk”. Kiss fans may remember Jean for his
work with Paul Stanley in the 80´s. Beauvior has also fronted
Micki Free was the founding member of Smokehouse. He was
discovered by Gene Simmons at the age of 17, and was encouraged
by Gene to join Shalamar. Later Beauvior and Free started Crown
of Thorns together.
Free and Beauvior has now once again joined forces in this
collaboration, and the goal I guess is to give us a high class FM
rock album. And to be quit frank I really believe that they
achieved their goal. The album is very well written from the first
to the last track. The production and the performance is very high
quality all the way. This album is just another example that the
AOR or FM rock genre is very much alive and healthy.
Songs like “Shotgun to the Heart”, “There´s No Starting Over”,
“Angels Cry” and the title track “American Trash” is some of the
best songs of the album. But my advice is that you check out the
album yourself and find your own favorites on this great album.
I feel I just have to make this reflection. Lately I have listened to
and reviewed some really great and amazing albums, so I feel that
I have to tell Mr Gene Simmons off.
Rock and Roll ain´t dead ! It is very much alive and vibrant.
