Shotgun Express interview
1. Hey guys, let me just start by giving props to your dirty style of sleaze, I can't wait to see you on stage in Roeselare.
How did you get to playing this style of music? Blues and hardrock always mix well, but you took it to a level that's a little more than just a combination of these two.
hey thanks a lot for the props, we play this style of music because its the kind of music we grew up with and love . just bluesbased balls to the wall rock n roll in the vein of aerosmith, led zep, GnR mixed with some punk
2. What influences formed your style of playing live, making songs, attitude etc
of course rock n roll, being as loud and raw as possible on stage, is a big influence for playing live and we also always liked the "just do what you wanna do" outlaw attitude
when we are working on songs this two elements get mixed with daily exprerience of our lives

3. You've been playing with quite some of the up-and-coming bands, what were the best experiences so far?
we had lots of great experiences, probably the best was when Rhino Buckets Georg Dolivo handed over a bottle of jack daniels to us after we played as their support and said he'd loved our show
or maybe when flow started breakdancing at the vains of jenna aftershow party and the VOJ boys joined him, people went crazy

4. I've been listening to your songs on Myspace, they sound good enough to slam on a disc, yet I don't see a demo/mini/whatever anywhere. Are there any plans to bring something out?
Yes there are. We've actually recorded ten songs, so enough to fill our debut album that'll be called "GYPSY BLUES" after a song on it. Currently we're working on a few last vocals and backings that'll be nailed soon. After that we're going to look for a label thats interested in it.
5. Can you manage to stay alive in the Thrash and Heavy Metal audience that is generally what you see in Germany, or are we missing a huge glam/sleaze explosion?
things changed abit over the years it seems like the heavy metal audience accepts this style of music more than a few years ago
another thing is that there are more bands here in germany which also play glam/sleaze/hardrock so it started growing up a lil scene/community

6. How are audiences responding to your shows? Do they get as wild as you want them to, or do you get the feel that there's more coming?
its been pretty good so far, our shows are fun. there is always a drunk chick being crazy. but we hope theres coming more in belgium ;)
7. Speaking of typical German music, did you grow up listening to records at home and forming your musical plans there, or just by going out, taking part of the scene and finding your own way?
both of it, going out to concerts was as important as listening to records at home
to jam to records at home is a great thing to improve your musical skills. you'll soon get an idea of what you want to do
going out to concerts is also great.when you're out on a show either the band is good you'll think yeah thats what i want to do and you might get in touch with other musicians or the band is bad and you'll think
this isnt what i want to do i wanna do it better. but it always have a positive aspect

8. If you bring out an album, what doors do you hope that will open? New countries, even better gigs or headliners, bigger shows?
a lot of money, chics and booze hahaha. Shure we hope to get to play more and bigger shows, that our fan base grows and also play other countries, meeting cool people to hang out with u know. all that kinda stuff
9. With nothing left to do but wish you good luck on all future plans, what can you promise to the Belgian fans in September?
do we have belgian fans? ;) we can promise to deliver a hardrockin kick-ass shotgun express show
thank you for your support we hope to see you guys in roselare
